Detailed Review of Asus Zenbook 13 OLED

Detailed overview of Asus Zenbook 13 OLED

The DJI Mini 3 (along with the remote) incorporates the camera and airframe from the more expensive Mini 3 Pro into a more cost-effective package by omitting a few features. Its video is limited to 4K30 and skips the obstacle detection feature found in the Pro model. Despite these drawbacks, the DJI Mini 3 is a good choice for pilots who do not require obstacle detection but want a more advanced camera and costs less than the Pro edition.

Performance of Asus Zenbook 13 OLED

The performance of the Asus Zenbook 13 OLED is excellent in almost every metric. The OLED display’s 16:10 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 2880 x 1800 p, or more than five million pixels, make the 13.3-inch display appear larger than it is. The latest games would not play continuously at 30 frames per second unless you lower the resolution in your video settings. The Zenbook has a maximum brightness of 550 nits, a screen refresh rate of 60 Hz, and a color depth of up to 1.07 billion colors. In the Ultrabook market, it would be difficult to find a device with a better performance at this cost. Considering that there is not much room for stereo speakers in a 14mm chassis, the Zenbook’s audio is decent. Hence, while the mids and highs are effectively projected, the speakers might not receive much bass response from your audio mix.

Design of Asus Zenbook 13 OLED

The magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis of the Asus Zenbook 13 OLED has a stylish design and is small enough to fit into a briefcase or backpack. It weighs less than 1 kg and is roughly 14.9 mm tall when fully closed. The touchscreen display has a diagonal size of 13.3 inches. For those who are interested in the stylus features, any Bluetooth-enabled stylus, such as the Asus Pen 2.0, which is offered on the Asus website, should function with the Zenbook. Moreover, the Zenbook is very good at distinguishing between inadvertent hand brushes and sincere attempts to open the ten-key NumberPad. Once we got used to it, it always worked extremely well. As Asus likes to say, the key caps on the keyboard itself are “dished.” Your fingertips would enjoy the comfortable feel of typing on keys with a scallop of 0.2mm. The keys have about 1.4mm of travel before coming into contact with a rubber dome, which causes a “tactile bump” to simulate the resistance of typing on regular keyboards.

Battery Life of Asus Zenbook 13 OLED

Our confusion over the Asus Zenbook 13 OLED’s battery life continued. With a 67 Whr battery life, the Zenbook should perform admirably. So, with the Zenbook unplugged, we played a movie continuously on a loop at 50% brightness until the battery died. We repeated this several times. The average battery life we measured for this tiny Zenbook was an astounding 12 hours and 40 minutes. As per the price range of this Zenbook, this performance is excellent. Using the PCMark 10 benchmark, we conducted a separate battery life test for the Zenbook. The average result for these tests was 7 hours and 28 minutes, a significant five-hour difference between the two different battery tests. For the Zenbook 13 OLED, Asus claims a battery life of 19 hours. When the “Battery Saver” feature is enabled while using the Zenbook 13 OLED for work or school, it might get 19 hours of battery life on a single charge. It is definitely possible as battery life would vary depending on the types of programs you use. Nevertheless, a battery life of 8 to 12 hours is respectable for typical use.
