Features of Realme TechLife Watch S100

The realme TechLife Watch S100 is a smartwatch with a 1.69-inch (240×280 pixels) 218 PPI LCD glass colour touch screen and 2.5D scratch resistant glass. The watch features a smooth touch screen that is responsive and easy to use. It has up to 530 nits brightness, making it easily visible even in bright outdoor environments. The brightness level can be adjusted from 20% to 100% by swiping to the left or from Settings→Adjust Brightness. However, there is no auto brightness adjustment since it lacks an ambient light sensor.

The watch has a range of features accessible by swiping from the bottom, including body temperature measurement, workouts, activity records, heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, Sleep details, sports mode, activity, sleep, notifications and weather.

The realme TechLife Watch S100 uses the new realme Fit companion app on Android and iPhone, which is different from the usual realme Link app used by other realme Watch models. The home screen of the app displays activity details along with heart rate data, sleep data, blood oxygen record, and body temperature record. Battery performance Realme TechLife Watch S100

The Watch boasts a 260mAh battery and claims to provide up to 13 days of battery life, and after putting it to the test for a couple of weeks, I can confirm that it lives up to this promise. I only had to charge it once, a couple of days ago, despite using it daily for 40 minutes of run tracking, with brightness set to 3 indoors and outdoors, and minimal notifications enabled. However, it’s important to note that the battery life may differ depending on how frequently you use the display at higher brightness, how often you utilize the heart rate monitor during workouts, and how many notifications you have turned on.

What’s more, the realme TechLife Watch S100 comes with a magnetic charging dock that conveniently connects to a USB port on a PC or laptop or can be used with a power bank in low-power mode. Despite taking roughly 2 hours to fully charge from 0%, the watch’s nearly two-week battery life renders the long charging time irrelevant.

Sleep tracker of Realme TechLife Watch S100

The realme TechLife Watch S100 is an affordable sports watch with 24 sports modes, catering to a wide range of fitness activities, including Outdoor Running, Walking, Outdoor Riding, Football, Mountaineering, Dancing, Yoga, and Basketball. The watch offers essential metrics like distance, calories burnt, and average heart rate for outdoor activities. However, the absence of GPS in the watch requires the phone’s GPS, which does not lock correctly. When you start your run directly from the watch, it doesn’t track routes accurately, and data is only based on steps, leading to about a 100m difference when compared to GPS watches. This is a common issue in budget sports watches.

The sleep tracking feature of the watch is decent and offers insights into light and deep sleep, as well as awake time. However, it does not track REM sleep. Additionally, the watch tends to record sleeping even after you’ve woken up, which can impact the accuracy of your sleep data. Overall, the realme TechLife Watch S100 is a budget-friendly sports watch with decent tracking capabilities, but it may not be the best option for those looking for accurate GPS tracking or comprehensive sleep tracking.

The Realme TechLife Watch S100 is a budget-friendly smartwatch that seeks to mimic premium smartwatches. While it boasts a wide range of features, it falls short in the fitness tracking department. Its standout features are its vibrant colour screen and notification capabilities. It’s worth considering if you’re seeking an affordable smartwatch that prioritizes aesthetics and notifications over fitness tracking. However, if you’re looking for a more comprehensive fitness tracking experience, you may need to consider other options.
