Detailed Review of Vivo X80 Pro
Overview of Vivo X80 Pro
The Vivo X80 Pro is an addition to the growing list of extremely expensive, top-of-the-line Android phones that feature cutting-edge camera technology and potent internals. It is Vivo’s first member of this premium tier to be made available worldwide rather than just in the company’s home country of China. Like many other phones from many other companies, it is competing to dethrone the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra as the top smartphone in our list of the best smartphones.
Display of Vivo X80 Pro
The screen of the Vivo X80 Pro is not only large but also loaded with features. The panel has a 1440 x 3200 resolution and supports HDR10+. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate and LTPO 3 for smoothly varying refresh rates. It simply means that Vivo has cranked up the display’s quality in every area. With good contrast, high maximum brightness, and vibrant colors, this is one of the best screens you can get on a smartphone. Some people might be put off by the display’s curved edges, but they gently slope, and we never experienced any issues with accidental presses.
Design of Vivo X80 Pro
Vivo is obviously concentrating on the photography market with the X80 Pro. There are four cameras on the back of this device: a primary 50MP f/1.6 camera, a 48MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, a 12MP f/1.9 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom for portrait shots, and an 8MP periscope camera (with 5x optical zoom). The front-facing 32MP f/2.5 camera is the fifth one. While the 5x optical zoom is nothing to sniff at, the 8MP sensor that comes along with it is simply too low-res to produce truly stunning images. Snapshots are a little dull and grainy. A better sensor would be the ideal option, but a bump to 10MP like Samsung could have paid off.
Battery Life of Vivo X80 Pro
The Vivo’s battery seems to be a bit smaller as compared to its competitors, who all sport 5,000mAh batteries on their sleeves. However, in actual use, it did not appear to make a significant difference. The battery life of the Vivo X80 Pro is not great, but it is also not terrible either. Unless you really push the phone by playing hours of video games or recording hours of video, it will last for a day of use. At 80W, charging is quick. The phone will charge from empty to full in 38 minutes, with a reliable charging time of under 40 minutes.
The Vivo X80 Pro is a unique Android phone with excellent battery life, a stunning display, and quick charging. It is one of the few Android devices that can match the iPhone in video quality.
