Detailed Review of HP 24mh 23.8-inch display
Detailed overview of HP 24mh 23.8-inch display
The HP 24mh 23.8-Inch Display is surprisingly feature-rich. In addition to having an IPS screen with thin bezels and excellent sRGB color coverage, this budget monitor—which is best for home or home-office use—also has a pivoting stand that can switch from landscape to portrait mode, built-in speakers, and a DisplayPort connector. This is sufficient for it to replace the Samsung CF396 with a curved screen.
Twisted Stand of HP 24mh 23.8-inch Display
A good option for a multi-monitor setup, the 24mh is a stylish monitor with a silver-gray bottom bezel and nearly invisible side and top bezels that maximize its screen area. The back of both the monitor and the stand are matte black. Also, the vertical shaft of the stand protrudes from its small base and connects with the cabinet. A 23.8-inch in-plane switching (IPS) screen with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels or 1080p and full HD (FHD) resolution is included with the 24mh. The pixel density at that resolution and screen size is 93 pixels per inch (PPI), which is adequate for general use but a little low for activities like pixel-accurate photo editing. Its maximum permitted viewing angles in both the horizontal and vertical axes are 178 degrees. Since IPS panels are known to have extremely wide viewing angles, you can almost look at the screen from the side without experiencing any noticeable posterization, color shift, or color degradation.
Features of HP 24mh 23.8-inch Display
While the HP 24mh has some of the flaws typical of cheap monitors, it also has a few features not found in the majority of cheap panels. This monitor includes a DisplayPort connector, two in-built speakers, and a stand with height and pivot adjustments. Its slim bezels and an IPS screen with excellent sRGB color coverage and strong contrast are key components of its winning feature and performance combination. While the panel of HP 24mh nearly covers the entire sRGB color space and displayed a surprisingly high contrast in our testing, its ergonomic tweakability, built-in sound system, and a wider range of connectivity are its main advantages. The HP 24mh is a very good substitute for its screen size.
Great Contrast and an Srgb Rainbow of HP 24mh 23.8-inch Display
On testing the luminance, color, and contrast of this monitor, it was measured at 221 nits, slightly below the 250 nits (candelas per meter squared) that HP had estimated for its luminance (brightness per unit area). It possesses a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, which is appropriate for an IPS panel, but the 24mh performed significantly better in our tests, converting in a ratio of 1,446:1. It effectively covered 99.5% of the sRGB spectrum. All the colors that can be created by combining the primary colors are represented by the triangle’s interior (red, green, and blue). The circles, which stand for my measurements, are largely situated just outside of the triangle and are distributed fairly evenly. On conducting our usual ad-hoc testing, we noticed that the colors in photographs seemed vivid and accurate. The HP 24mh handled contrast in both bright and dark scenes.
Despite its affordability, the HP’s 24mh IPS-based budgeted monitor packs three inputs, an ergonomic stand, and built-in speakers. In addition, the panel offers excellent sRGB color coverage and a high contrast ratio for the price.
