Detailed Review of Infinix Note 30
Overview of Infinix Note 30
Infinix, a prominent Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has recently introduced a range of new smartphones in the Indian market. Among their latest offerings is the Infinix Note 30 5G. Despite the brand’s presence in the Indian market for a considerable period, it continues to encounter stiff competition from established players such as Vivo, Samsung, Xiaomi, and Realme.
Design of Infinix Note 30
In recent times, Infinix has shown great enthusiasm in the realm of design, evident in their latest offerings such as the Infinix Note 12i, Smart 7, and Zero 5G Turbo. Continuing their trend of experimentation, the Infinix Note 30 5G pushes boundaries with its distinctive box-shaped design, featuring flat edges for a modern aesthetic.
One prominent feature that catches the eye is the sizable camera island on the rear, creating the illusion of two large and two small sensors. However, upon closer inspection, the phone reveals three sensors accompanied by an LED flash. It’s worth noting that due to the significant camera bump, the phone may wobble slightly on a flat surface, but this minor inconvenience should not overshadow its overall appeal.
The Infinix Note 30 5G is offered in three captivating color options, each with its own unique charm. The variant we had the opportunity to review was the Interstellar Blue, boasting a glossy back finish. What makes this particular color option stand out is its ability to transform into shades of green or yellow when exposed to direct sunlight from different angles. Alternatively, users can choose the Sunset Gold variant, which features a leather back panel reminiscent of the Infinix Zero 5G 2023, or opt for the Magic Black variant, offering a sleek matte finish. While all three options exude a premium feel and possess an appealing aesthetic, we found ourselves particularly drawn to the elegance of the blue variant. However, it’s important to note that design preferences and color choices are subjective and may vary from person to person.
Overall, the Infinix Note 30 5G showcases Infinix’s commitment to innovation in design. With its bold and distinctive box-shaped design, complemented by vibrant color options, this smartphone is sure to turn heads.
While the camera bump may cause minor instability on flat surfaces, it doesn’t detract significantly from the device’s overall appeal. Whether you opt for the glossy Interstellar Blue, the luxurious Sunset Gold, or the sleek Magic Black, the Infinix Note 30 5G offers a premium look and feel, ensuring that it caters to a wide range of style preferences. Ultimately, the choice of design and color comes down to personal taste, making the Infinix Note 30 5G a versatile option for consumers seeking both style and performance.
Display of Infinix Note 30
The Infinix Note 30 5G, in comparison to its predecessor, the Infinix Note 12 5G from last year, showcases a notable downgrade in terms of its display. While the Note 12 5G boasted an AMOLED display, the Note 30 5G now features a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display. However, despite this change, the impact on the viewing experience was surprisingly negligible, as the screen content remained crisp and vibrant. Moreover, for those who have specific preferences regarding the display style, the device allows users to make adjustments within the Settings.
One noteworthy feature of the Infinix Note 30 5G’s display is its support for a 120Hz refresh rate, which greatly enhances the fluidity of navigation on the device. Users also have the flexibility to adjust the refresh rate to 90Hz or 60Hz according to their personal preference. The display’s peak brightness can reach up to 580 nits; however, it struggled to offer optimal visibility under direct sunlight during our testing in Delhi’s scorching summer.
Thanks to its spacious Full HD+ display complemented by JBL-tuned stereo speakers, our viewing experience while watching both seasons of Asur on the Infinix Note 30 5G was truly enjoyable. Additionally, with Widevine L1 certification support, users can indulge in OTT app content in Full HD resolution. The device’s speakers deliver impressive volume levels and produce crisp sound quality, eliminating any concerns if one’s TWS earbuds happen to run out of battery.
Performance and software of Note 30 5G by Infinix
The Infinix Note 30 5G takes the lead as the first device to be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6080 processor. This integration positions the phone as an affordable option that delivers performance expected from its price range. During my usage, the Note 30 performed adequately without any notable hiccups when handling medium to low-level tasks such as general browsing, using social media apps, and navigating through the user interface.
In terms of benchmark results, the Note 30 achieved a commendable score of 394,293 on Antutu, aligning well with comparable devices in its segment. Furthermore, the Geekbench 6 multi-core test yielded a result of 2050, further solidifying the phone’s capabilities. However, it should be noted that these figures are in line with current offerings in the market.
The device’s GPU performance, as measured by GFXBench’s Manhattan 3.1 benchmark, showed a frame rate of 24fps. Although this result is satisfactory, it is worth mentioning that the phone experienced a slight increase in temperature during this test.
One notable feature of the Infinix Note 30 5G is its bypass charging functionality. This feature allows the phone to be powered directly without charging the battery. Infinix claims that this design choice helps keep the device cool when engaging in high-intensity gaming sessions.
Overall, the Infinix Note 30 5G, fueled by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6080 chipset, presents a compelling offering in the affordable smartphone market. With its decent performance scores and convenient bypass charging feature, it caters to users seeking a device that delivers satisfactory performance for everyday tasks and moderate gaming.

Equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor and a high-resolution 108MP camera, this device offers substantial power and imaging capabilities. While the design is sturdy, it is worth noting that it is slightly heavier than ideal.
One notable feature of the Infinix Note 30 5G is its large 6.8-inch LCD display, which provides ample viewing space. However, it does come with a few minor drawbacks. The camera performance, while decent, falls short of exceptional, particularly in low-light conditions. Nonetheless, the device performs admirably for everyday tasks and delivers good audio quality.
Overall, the Infinix Note 30 5G is a solid choice for value-oriented consumers seeking a combination of desirable features and an attractive design. Although there are some reservations regarding the display, such as its sluggish pixels causing ghosting and smearing, as well as its lackluster brightness and inconsistent color reproduction, these aspects should not overshadow the device’s other merits.
Considering its affordable price tag, the Infinix Note 30 5G offers a compelling package of features and functionality. While the display may not meet the highest standards, the device as a whole justifies a recommendation or, at the very least, serious consideration for those in the market for a budget-friendly option.
