Detailed Review of Mi Smart Band 6
Overview of Mi Smart Band 6
The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 (Mi Band 6) is a noteworthy fitness tracker that boasts an array of features for tracking health and fitness. The device shares a similar design with its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5, but boasts an even brighter and clearer display, enabling users to view their daily stats with ease. Unlike other fitness trackers that prioritize workout tracking, the Mi Band 6 puts an emphasis on overall wellbeing, providing features such as stress monitoring, breathing exercises, a pulse ox sensor for spot checks, and period tracking – all easily accessible with a tap and a swipe. Overall, the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 fitness tracker is great for individuals seeking a comprehensive tool for monitoring their health and fitness.
Design of Mi Smart Band 6
Mi Smart Band 6 looks pretty similar to their previous models, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The tracker itself is pill-shaped and housed in TPU material, while the strap has a more watch-like feel with an easily adjustable loop.
There aren’t any buttons on the tracker, everything is controlled through the AMOLED touchscreen. Xiaomi has added some new, colorful band options to make it a bit more stylish. They’ve also added a heart rate monitor and SpO2 monitor, which could come in handy during COVID times. But keep in mind, for more precise measurements, you might want to use a dedicated monitor.
The Mi Smart Band 6 charging is a bit different than your typical micro-USB or USB-C connector, using a proprietary charger design. However, the magnetic latch system makes for easy and quick charging. Just make sure you don’t lose the charger! While the build quality is better than some of its rivals, like the Realme Band, it’s not quite as high-end as a Fitbit Luxe. That being said, it’s still solid enough for everyday wear and has 5ATM water resistance, which means you can wear it in the shower or even go swimming with it.
Features of Mi Smart Band 6
The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 is a great device for everyday use with some impressive features that you would normally expect to find on a much more expensive device. One of its best features is the blood oxygen tracking, which can do spot-checks, stress monitoring through changes in heart rate, sleep tracking, breathing exercises, and period tracking. It also allows you to receive smartphone notifications on your wrist, but keep in mind that there’s limited space for lengthy texts. Unfortunately, you can’t reply to texts or take calls, nor can you issue voice commands because there’s no Alexa or Google Assistant and no microphone.
When tested it was found that the sleep monitoring feature worked well, closely aligning with those from a much more expensive Polar device. While the Mi Smart Band 6 sleep monitoring doesn’t measure REM sleep, it does track deep and light sleep effectively enough to determine how many sleep cycles you experienced and any waking periods during the night. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly device with a good set of features, the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 is definitely worth considering.
Sleep tracker of Mi Smart Band 6
If you’re looking for a budget fitness tracker, you might not get the same level of sensor accuracy as pricier wearables. But don’t let that put you off the Band 6 – it has some seriously impressive features for the price. The sleep tracking is particularly noteworthy, with a detailed breakdown of your deep, REM, normal, light, and awake sleep stages, plus a breathing rating (even if it’s hard to say how accurate that is).
The one major downside is that the Band 6 can be inconsistent when syncing with the Xiaomi Wear app. But no worries – you can always do it manually from within the app if you need to. Overall, if you’re after a solid, affordable fitness tracker, the Band 6 is definitely worth considering.

So let me tell you why the Mi Band is one of the hottest selling trackers out there. It seriously holds its own against other similarly priced options and even gives the Apple Watch a run for its money in some areas. Plus, it’s got all the dope features and user-friendly vibes that the Mi Watch Revolve Active offers. The Mi Band is also super light and easy to wear, so you’ll hardly even notice it’s on until you need to use it. It’s perfect for both kids and adults who are just getting started with tracking their fitness and health.
Now, don’t go expecting it to be a professional-grade or medically-focused device, cuz it’s not. But for a budget smart band, Xiaomi really nailed it with the Mi Band 6. It’s definitely the top choice for anyone who wants a quality tracker without breaking the bank.
