Detailed Review of Samsung galaxy S20 FE 5G
Overview of Amazfit GTR 2e
The latest smartwatch, the Amazfit GTR 2e comes up short with features of sports wearables. However, what has been produced works quite well. The sports mode covers almost every possible activity. The design is gorgeous, and the battery life is particularly impressive. If a user requires smart features than just fitness monitoring, there are other better options on the market. Check it out!
Design
The Amazfit GTR 2e has a 2.5D curved glass and a titanium alloy casing that appears premium for a smart wearable in this market. Because of its intentional and well-thought-out looks, the design outperforms competitors such as the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve and the Realme Watch S Pro. The 1.39-inch display covers nearly the whole width of the device, with minimal bezels around the edges. The AMOLED display is as vivid as they get. The ambient light sensor works perfectly, and despite the glare, users have no issue reading the display outside on a sunny day. While the second button opens the activities menu, it may be set to access any of the watch’s apps.
Turn the Amazfit GTR 2e over and notice the sensor array implanted in the plastic underbody. Nothing is out of the norm here, with the heart rate sensors, SpO2 monitor, and charging pogo ports. The Amazfit shines when it comes to battery life. While the 471mAh cell is commensurate with other smart wearables on the market, the battery life advertised is about 24 days, which seems accurate based on tests.
Features
Huami ramped up the smartwatch features in the GTR 2 and GTS 2, and although the core of those functions remains, there are several that have been eliminated to increase the battery life. The first is the lack of a speaker, which means users won’t be able to make Bluetooth calls.
Users in the smartwatch have lost the normally found built-in music player, which explains why Wi-Fi access isn’t available. If users don’t want to make phone calls from their wrist, they can do so without the speaker. While it was good to see Huami offer a music player, it currently only works with MP3s that have been downloaded already and does not support streaming music services, making it limited in its appeal.
The smartwatch is compatible with both Android and iPhone, which is evident through notification compatibility. Plus, there is a plethora of watch faces to select from, additional music playback controls, along with an offline voice assistant created by Huami. Surprisingly, there is no talk about Amazon Alexa support. The smartwatch would be a catch if the music player was accompanied by a better and more attractive streaming functionality.
Battery Life
The Amazkit GTR 2e comes with a larger battery that has a capacity of 471mAH. With the loss of features like a speaker and music player features. The watch with typical use lasts for 24 days. The watch takes around 2.5 hours to charge from zero to 100%. The smartwatch battery drop-off is only about 15-20%, with continuous heart-rate monitoring, notifications turned on, and also 30 minutes to an hour of workout tracking. This smartwatch will last a week, but users need to reduce several functions to reach double-digit days of battery life.
Tracking Performance
The GTR 2e is similar to the GTR 2 when it comes to fitness tracking and the differences between the two are not much when it comes to the performance front. The GTR 2e has the same sensors as the GTR 2, which are used for tracking daily activity and monitoring the levels of sleep. The GTR 2e is equipped with the same BioTracker 2 optical sensor that measures the SpO2 and heart rate. The smartwatch uses GPS and GLONASS to track outdoor activities such as cycling, cycling and other cardio-based exercises like swimming.
The GTR 2e monitors everyday activity such as the number of steps, distance traveled, and the time spent walking. On moving to monitor sleep, the information monitored is similar. Offering Sleep Scores as well as important insights regarding sleep and increasing quality sleep time.
