With so many incremental upgrades to pick from, the A32 5G or 4G will find that sweet spot with shockingly good features at a price that most people can afford. The Galaxy A32 5G may be the greatest alternative for bargain-hunting Samsung fans who don’t want to explore a mid-range option like the Galaxy A72 or a reduced Galaxy S21. Here’s everything users need to know about this phone, including performance, cameras, and whether they should purchase the 5G model.

The design of the Samsung Galaxy A32 is typical of a low-cost phone. It measures 6.5 x 3 x 0.36 inches or 164.2 x 76.1 x 9.1 mm and weighs 7.2oz or 205 g. The phone comes with reasonably thick bezels and a plastic back protected by Gorilla Glass. In comparison to a curved phone, it may seem a little big and awkward in a user’s hand. A fingerprint sensor on the side, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone port were also incorporated by the designers.

In terms of the display, users won’t find the OLED panel that they are undoubtedly used to seeing on most recent phones. The Galaxy A32 sports a 6.5-inch LCD with a refresh rate of 60Hz and a pixel resolution of HD (720 x 1600). Expect a display that is more practical than aesthetically pleasing.

Long-lasting battery life is essential for all-day photographic sessions. Fortunately, the Galaxy A32 5G battery boasts a 5,000mAh capacity, providing enough juice for a full day of work or play. Photographers will get access to a 48MP primary shooter, 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, 2MP depth, and 13MP selfie cameras on the Galaxy A32 5G. In comparison, the A12 only features a 16MP primary camera, whereas the A52 has a 64 MP primary camera. The cameras protrude somewhat from the phone, and there is no camera hump to shield them from harm. It’s undeniably a phone that might benefit from a protective cover.  

In this pricing bracket, don’t expect a Snapdragon. The Galaxy A32 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G chipset, which is one of the more lightweight CPUs capable of supporting a 5G connection. The A32 5G will come preloaded with Android 11, especially Samsung’s Android skin One UI 3.0. It will not be as fast as the S21 series, but it will receive regular security upgrades for the next three years.

If users truly want a low-cost 5G phone or do they simply want the biggest bang for their buck? The Galaxy A32 4G delivers a big increase at a comparable price for the greatest value. Indeed, it’s reasonable to assume that Samsung degraded the Galaxy A32 5G in most areas only to add 5G support. The 6.45-inch display increases the refresh rate from 60Hz to 90Hz, the resolution from 720p to 1080p, and the pixels per inch from around 270 to more than 400. Perhaps most notably, it employed an OLED panel rather than an LCD screen.

It has double the default storage space (128GB vs. 64GB) and comes with One UI 3.1 installed rather than 3.0. In addition, the 4G variant includes two significant camera upgrades: the primary camera has 64MP vs. 48MP, and the selfie camera has 20 MP vs. 13MP. The advantage of the 5G variant is the MediaTek 720 5G processor, which outperforms the 4G counterpart’s MediaTek Helio G80 in benchmark testing. 

The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G ticks virtually all of the boxes for what users want in a phone at its pricing. It easily executes all basic activities, has a long battery life, will receive several Android updates, and has a respectable camera stack. Its performance is nearly identical to that of the considerably more costly Galaxy A52 5G. One significant flaw is its low-resolution display, but unless the user is a gamer or plans to watch Netflix on their phone, that won’t be a point of bother. The screen is vibrant and brilliant, and they won’t notice any pixelation until they press their nose against it.
