Detailed Oneplus Watch review

Oneplus watch is a full-fledged fitness tracker or smartwatch that allows you to make calls, get notifications, and a lot more. It usually comes with an integrated loudspeaker and microphone that allows you to not only accept and carry out calls on it but also start calls from the watch itself. This function is what everyone is missing in normal watches. The proprietary operating system is thoughtfully designed, buttery smooth, and simple to use. It consists of a typical array of fitness features, including heart rate, SpO2, sleep tracking, stress level monitoring, workout tracking, etc.

The 1.39-inch AMOLED screen on the OnePlus Watch features 2.5D curved glass. It has a pixel density of 326PPI and a resolution of 454 x 454px. Its display specs suggest that reasonable sharpness and crisp pictures can be expected. You also get a raise to wake function in addition to an always-on display. The 46mm stainless steel casing of the watch boasts a luxury style with a circular face. It has detachable fluoroelastomer straps that match the watch’s bulky appearance. Its measurements are 46.4 x 46.4 x 10.9mm, and the watch weighs 76 grams when the straps are attached. There are two color options available for the smartwatch: black and silver.

The screen is enclosed inside a 46mm watch face, making it one of the largest smartwatches available. A black, curved bezel that blends in beautifully and has a pleasant, silky feel surrounds the screen. The display itself is superb, featuring lively colors, clear pictures, and sufficient brightness. It has a wonderful understated appearance thanks to the AMOLED technology underneath and the largely black UI. The auto-brightness is fairly responsive. 

The 402mAh battery within the OnePlus smartwatch provides up to 14 days of battery life on a single charge. In addition, it enables rapid charging and provides 7 days of battery life on a 20-minute charge. The charger features two Pogo pins. The watch also features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity with a maximum wireless range of 10 meters. Only Android-powered devices are compatible with it. The watch also has live constellation position tracking systems including Galileo, GPS, and Beidou. 

Therefore, OnePlus’ choice of RTOS is a pleasant one since it would easily extend the battery life of its 402mAh battery to more than a week. With all notifications activated and constant phone contact, you can get through a first charge cycle for roughly 8 days. The following cycle saw the addition of sleep SpO2 monitoring and the switch to continuous heart rate monitoring. The watch only lost 10-15% power each day even then. Most users should have little trouble getting 5–6 days’ worth of juice.

Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), which has a straightforward interface, powers the OnePlus Watch. It contains 4GB of storage, which can hold nearly 500 songs. The watch also has 110+ fitness modes, including running and walking, parkour, outdoor and indoor sports, swimming, cycling, and many other activities, and is water-resistant to 5ATM IP68 standards. The watch includes health-related sensors such as an optical heart rate and blood oxygen sensor. The SpO2 sensor warns when high altitude sickness occurs, while its heart-rate sensor records data throughout the day. Moreover, it includes an air pressure sensor, geomagnetic sensor, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and accelerometer.

Being the company’s first smartwatch, many Android users have been looking forward to Oneplus watch.  It comes with limited functionality and it operates more like a smart notifier. It has accurate sleep tracking, good battery life, and SpO2 tracking. So you should definitely give it a try!
