So, the Redmi Note 11 Pro plus 5G and Note 11 Pro 5G don’t really have a big difference in terms of price and performance. The Pro+ does come with a fast charger, which is pretty impressive, but besides that and a minor processor boost, they’re pretty similar.

It seems like Redmi was in a hurry to get a phone with 120W charging out there and maybe didn’t take as much time as they could have to make some other improvements.

Overall, the Redmi Note 11 Pro plus is a solid phone that offers good value for your money. The only downside is that it has the same software issues and an out-of-date Android, which is a pretty big drawback. But, if you’re looking for a phone that does the job well and charges up super quickly, this is definitely a good choice. Just don’t expect anything too groundbreaking beyond the charging speed.

Basically the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G look super similar. meaning, there’s not even a little plus sign to differentiate between them! Plus, the black version looks almost the same as the Graphite Gray version of the other one.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G is slightly thicker than its non-Plus sibling due in part to its camera module design. The two-step design of the non-Plus has been replaced with a more prominent camera module featuring a main 108-megapixel lens that protrudes further from the rest of the module. On the plus side, this phone still includes a 3.5mm headphone socket, which is beneficial for users who prefer wired headphones. Additionally, the phone is equipped with an IP53 rating, which provides basic protection against splashes.

While the design of the phone is generally satisfactory, it may not be particularly thrilling. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button on the right side of the phone and has demonstrated consistent reliability in our testing. Furthermore, there are stereo speakers and a discreet “Sound by JBL” marking on the frame, which we appreciate.

The display on this device measures 6.67 inches and boasts of Full HD+ quality with an AMOLED screen. It also supports a refresh rate of 120Hz, delivering a smooth visual experience. However, it’s important to note that this display does not have an adaptive feature commonly found in high-end devices. Additionally, we observed that the smoothness of the display was not enabled by default, so users may need to manually activate it. We also noticed that the auto-brightness feature may occasionally be inaccurate, leading to situations where the display appears dimmer in bright conditions. Therefore, users may need to adjust the brightness settings manually to ensure optimal viewing experience.

The Redmi Note 11 pro plus has undergone several hardware changes that distinguish it from the Note 11 Pro 5G, particularly in its core hardware and battery. However, some performance issues stem from MIUI, which is running version 12.5 on Android 11, an older operating system compared to others on the market. Additionally, MIUI undergoes frequent changes that are not always practical. Addressing these changes can be beneficial, such as switching to gesture navigation, disabling the lock screen carousel, and reverting the quick settings and notifications pane to their default combined state.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G offers similar performance and user experience as the slightly more affordable Note 11 Pro 5G. However, it stands out for its remarkably fast charging capability, which may be a deciding factor for some buyers. In terms of overall performance, the Note 11 Pro+ 5G is only marginally superior to its counterpart.
